Eco Warriors Activities
Any student can be an Eco Warrior, they just need to have an interest in the environment. Eco Warriors help plant new veggie crops, weed gardens, spread mulch, collect classroom recycling and help monitor the new bin system.
This year, with the additional Woolworths Junior Landcare Bee Bonus, we have commenced a pollinator’s garden. Students have planned and help construct this area, also planting out many bee friendly plants.
At GSPS we engage our students in environmental days throughout the year. Clean Up Australia Day, World Environment Day and National Tree Day have seen our students actively collecting waste, planting and improving our natural learning environment.
